A tornado touched down in an uninhabited area of Accomack County on the Eastern Shore Saturday, knocking over trees but causing no injuries, an official said.
The twister was sighted in Locustville, east of Onley, at 1:02 p.m., authorities said.
One tree fell on a private vehicle, but no other damage was reported, said Greg Lewis, a county public safety batallion chief.
