Belton Park lady captain Alice Epton ended her year in office with a Viennese Waltz competition on Tuesday.
The winning team by a clear margin were Julie Hamer, Shelley McClelland and Pam Mackey.
Alice held a Viennese themed tea afterwards where she presented a cheque for ?2,500 to a representitive of her chosen charity, Homestart.
The money was raised during her captain?s year by the ladies? section from competitions, raffles and donations at the hopsitatility hut. Alice stated that she had enjoyed her year but was looking forward to a rest and was happy to be passing on the baton to her vice-captain Diane Dixon.
l The Summer Knockout competitions have been completed and prizes presented at the excellent end of season awards dinner at Belton Park last Saturday night.
Steve Mitchell added the MOD Jackson salver for medal winners to the Jubilee Knockout Trophy. Father and son combo Michael and Graham Jappy won the Summer Foursomes.
Chris Burns won the Scratch Knockout Trophy for the top eight qualifiers in the Club Championship for the 10th time, beating the unfortunate Tony Wagstaff who was also defeated in the Jubliee Final.

Twenty-nine golfers entered the final Tuesday stableford of last month, with Colin Farrington emerging victorious on a score of 38.
One behind on 37 was Tony Robinson, with Willie Badraun (36) taking third on countback from Mike Robinson. The back nine was won by Manny Barker with 18 on countback. Nick Craft won the front nine with 19.

Thirty-nine players travelled to Nottinghamshire last week to take part in a charity golf day that raised almost ?3,000 for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.
The annual fundraiser was organised by Stoke Rochford?s vice-captain Peter Gill and played at Stanton on the Wolds.
A total of 88 players took part in a pairs better-ball stableford competition. off ? handicap, with Mark Parry and Keith Allen from the Notts club emerging victorious with an incredible score of 45 points.
Peter Gill said: ?I would like to thank everyone who took part on the day and helped us raise ?2,800. This is the fourth year we have held the event and the support offered from players and clubs donating prizes is amazing. One of the golfers taking part raised over ?400 by himself.?

This week Stoke Rochford seniors? Winter Warmer competition was a Waltzer. Winners with 84 points were Brian White, Mike Nixon and Ray Smith. Runners-up on 74 points were Dave Waling, Joe Kime and Ernie Armstrong, and third with 72 on countback were Jim Price, Row Rowe and Ron Kent.

The Monthly Medal qualifier was played on the par 72 Lakes Course with a CSS of 74.
Results: Division One - 1 Jeff Earl 82-10=72, 2 Dan Fowler 77-4=73, 3 Lee Williams 78-4-74; Division Two - Master Chris Sanderson 85-16=69, 2 James White 96-24=72, 3 Tony Stapleton 90-15=75.

The Marshall?s Monthly Medal for October was a close fight between John Williams and Tom Rea.

Norman Tidy was a clear winner of the November Monthly Stableford.

Six handicap Simon Green recorded a new course record in the monthly Saturday qualifier at the weekend.
He carded 45 stableford points, seven better than CSS, reducing his handicap to 4.7, and surpassing the previous record of level gross par by one.
Kev Woollas (41) was runner-up and best of Category Four was Andy Harris on 40. There were prizes for Martin Corby, Rob Jameson, David Lee, Kevin Turner and Andy Newman.
Lorna Jackson was best lady and won the EWGA medal. The birdie twos sweep was shared between Martin Corby (2), Kev Woollas (2), Adam Lee (2), Andy Hall, Rob Jameson, Simon Green and Pete Bunkhill.
