Aero Tobias all set for taking down the Coral On TV Standard Trophy Final field

The finalists for the Coral On TV Standard Trophy are Buckfast Kid, Alis Avenger, Blue Glenard, Millwards Matt, Aero Tobias and Romeo Mercury. The 400 metres final race will be held at Romford on Friday, 5th October. Two out of the six taking their chances tonight have won at the open level, and are the highly likely candidates for bagging the ?750 prize money.

Declared as the evening?s favourite is the two-year-old black dog, Aero Tobias. He started racing just this season, and has gathered experience at Henlow, Monmore, Wimbledon, Coventry, Hove, Sunderland and Romford.

The most recent and the most impressive performance of the D. Childs trained was in the Coral On TV Standard Trophy ? Heat 1 on 1st October, 2012 at Romford over 400 metres.

Donning the orange jacket, the two-year-old was quick to navigate through the distance in a way that he maintained a safe distance from the rest of the lot. Racing in the middle, he monopolised the leadership role, and took 24.07 seconds to take care of the ?150 prize money.

His winning margin of 4 ? lengths had Romeo Mercury qualifying as the runner-up.

The evening?s favourite has drawn the same number for travelling the distance tonight, and it has not been just once that he has proven successful when racing in orange.

He knows the tactic already, and has raced at the level before too so there is not much excuse for missing the race tonight.

He will need to look out for the second most preferred hound in the line-up, the Paul Young trained two-year-old, Millwards Matt. He has been successful in the most recent outing at the open level, and even before that had struck a hat-trick.

Big Daddy Cool?s son won the Coral On TV Standard Trophy ? Heat 2 on 1st October, 2012 at Romford over 400 metres.

The fifth trap took a slow and steady start which resulted in leadership from the fourth spot. Keeping at the wide end, he nailed the race in 24.37 seconds and defeated Blue Glenard by 2 ? lengths.

The 5 to 2 entry will race in a black vest due to the fourth trap that he has been allotted.
